This equation is a lens through which I attempt to uncover the true nature of our existence and reality through a mathematical formula;
(-E)+(+E)=0
It’s often believed that non-existence equals 0, but I understand this to be a misconception.
Non-existence represents the opposite of existence because for everything that exists, there is the possibility of what could have existed in its place.
Therefore, non-existence is not represented as 0, but rather as (-E) for negative existence.
Existence is our unknown variable in Leora’s Existence Equation.
Existence and negative existence must cancel each other out mathematically; this is the reason for the setup of the equation.
Negative existence combined with positive existence equals zero.
This would suggest that what exists cannot cease to exist, and what does not exist cannot begin to exist unless made of what is already in existence.
So what would this suggest about the nature of our own existence as people?
Our body exists as far as we know, and we can observe that the makeup of our body remains after death. The body is matter, a form of energy.
Our conscience exists, but what is our conscience? The leading theory here is that our conscience is the energetic activity conducted through the brain. Our thoughts, senses, and memories are all energetic activity conducted through our brains that cause us to have individual experiences of the universe. Our conscience is ever changing; we may repeat old patterns in our mind like memory, but we are always changing. Conscience is an energetic activity.
Our soul exists, but what is our soul? To separate what conscience is and what the soul is, I believe the conscience is what we experience, and the soul is what concerns our actions. It is the mark we left behind or the butterfly effect of our actions that sends waves down space and time. Soul transcends our conscience in movement. So, the soul is a form of energetic activity. (Though it could be noted that soul, depending on the individual, can be synonymous with conscience.)
All of these are related to one another and are forms of energy. These are the concepts that make up the human existence/ human experience. Energy is what creates existence. Here is the law of conservation of energy: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. The law of energy suggests that everything that is us cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. We were not created from nothing. Everything that makes us is an eternal movement.
Energy creates existence. I exist; therefore, I am made of energy, and what I am made of cannot cease to exist. “I” can only transform from one form to another.

We have always been and will always be part of positive existence, even when humans are no more, everything that we are made of will remain.
We are the essence of what is eternal.
